Using the Adsense Keyword Tool

In short the Adsense Keyword Tool can be used three ways.

- Based on a Keyword or a phrase

- You can search a URL

- You can also base your search on content.

Once you enter what you are searching for the tool will come up with various words or phrases related to your search. Once you have the list compiled by the Keyword Tool you can now take a look at the competition for the specific word or phrase and also the search volume. Ideally what you would like are words with lower level of competition with a high search volume. Finding these words may take time but will pay off for you in the end.

Choosing words with high competition will only put your site or blog in a list of thousands of other people doing the same thing. Getting into the top search results is really the key to making money online.

What is a keyword? A word or words that is entered in a search engine and when the user presses enter, a result of similiar information appears. When folks type a keyword in a search engine, they are simply looking for some answers or maybe even doing some research on a niche.

Let’s face it, when people do a search on a search engine, most of us only see the first or second page, so our goal is for our content to appear on that first page. This is probable, but you must have the right tools to help with your research.

When I first started creating articles, I would create an article and submit it to article directories and I thought, OK, here comes the traffic! Boy was I wrong! After weeks of the article being submitted, I would see how many views I had received and it wasn’t many. I had heard of keyword research, but didn’t really know what it was.

Googles search based keyword tool is great for finding better paying adsense keywords for a website!  You an put in your website url and google will give you a list of keywords and the ppc value of each of them.  Check it out here: http://google.com/sktool/#

The tool works best with websites associated with your google adsense account.  It will still give you results if the website is not associated with your account but the results are more limited.

The tool does however work really well with foreign language sites.  Having tested it on a few of my Spanish websites I have found that it provides a pretty good list of suggested words for adsense purposes.

Most new webmasters think that by building a website, they will get traffic automatically. Unfortunately, that is not true online. The saying â??build it and they will comeâ? does not hold true in the online world.

One of the ways to get targeted traffic is to position your website high in the search engines for the keyword you are targeting. It is called SEO or search engine optimization.

Although there are many SEO companies that can help you do this, it would be best to learn how to do it yourself first. Most people tend to make SEO more complicated than it really is and they are many SEO myths and legends around if you browse some of the more popular SEO forums.
