On February 26, 2009, Google software engineer Matt Cutts collected questions on Google Moderator and answered many of them on video. Adeel from Manchester, UK asked: Does the position of keywords in the URL have a significant impact: example.com/keyword/London is better than example.com/London/keyword? … google keywords url seo
So… Does it has some impact or not?
Great comment, it’s true.
Thanks. I think these days keywords in the URL have good seo value.
This is in response to URLs in the domain name – I think Matt is lying about this. Google free poker money. Every website on the front page has over 10k backlinks except freepokermoney(DOT)com, which has 30. Google no prescription xanax, same case with noprescriptionxanax(DOT)org carrying 2 backlinks and holding #1 position. I dont beliebe Matt tells the whole story. There are numerous examples all over the web that discredit a lot of what he is saying.
Good vid, I think it is funny a google engineer uses keywords for blog posts that in itself is a tip.
lol! I think all these vids were made on the same day.
Absolutely Godly to have Cutts speak about specific topics. Having years of SEO in, mostly blind, it’s reading the answers from the back of the book whenever he talks.
Dude, do you ever change your shirt? LOL Great videos, thanks for the info!
Thank you so much for replying to my question Matt. I pretty much thought the same but you have basically confirmed it (and made my life a little bit easier)
Oh that was quick!
But to the point… thanks Google
Pretty much what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation Matt!
